Linda Gabriel began the Twenty Minute Stories writing group in April of 2017. She polled friends and neighbors in the Beechwood Canyon area of Los Angeles to join, and I was one of the early members.
We meet every other Sunday and select prompt words to begin a twenty minute writing session. It’s fantastic how much can be created, experienced and chronicled within that short period of time. We have two writing sessions within a two hour timeframe and each read our own work to the group. The writer’s voice reveals the inner intention of the piece, giving it substance and purpose. It’s been a fantastic journey, a free space for creativity and camaraderie amongst fellow writers.
